Developer and publisher NC announced today that the new installment of its classic MMORPG, Aion 2, will launch on October 5. An agreement for the Chinese server has been reached. Featuring a vaster world and richer content than its predecessor, stay tuned.
Aion 2 is set 200 years after the original's conclusion—the Aion Tower has crumbled, the continent of Atreia lies in fragments, and war reignites among the Elyos, Asmodians, and Dragons. Players will step into the role of a new "Guardian," witnessing the world's decline and rebirth amidst the epic three-faction conflict.
