According to IGN, Shift Up has confirmed that Stellar Blade: Complete Edition will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026, releasing over five minutes of gameplay footage. The company's Chief Technology Officer, Lee Dong-ki, also introduced the content composition and feature adaptations for this port.
Lee Dong-ki stated that Stellar Blade initially launched on PlayStation platforms in 2024, followed by a PC release the next year. Over that year, the development team added two DLC packs, extra costumes, seasonal content, and events, all of which will be included in the Complete Edition for Nintendo Switch 2.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version also features specialized adaptations for HD Rumble. Rather than recreating the entire set of vibration data, the team converted the data used in the PlayStation 5 version into a format suitable for HD Rumble, aiming to preserve the original feedback effects as much as possible.
In addition to haptic feedback, this version confirms support for touch controls, gyro mode, and mouse input. Lee Dong-ki said the team aims to provide players with different control options while maintaining the game's original visual presentation and gameplay experience.
During the porting process, the development team focused on memory optimization and adjusted some internal logic to ensure the game runs well on the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware. Lee Dong-ki stated that the experience of porting the title to more platforms has helped the team become more familiar with cross-platform development.
According to currently released information, the Nintendo Switch 2 version will have content largely consistent with the PlayStation 5 and PC versions. Lee Dong-ki hinted that the team might announce additional content later, but did not confirm specific plans or provide further details.
