For years, many players have hoped for native third-person support in Cyberpunk 2077, but CDPR never added this feature to the official release. Since the mod's release, downloads have surged, with many players expressing excitement about finally being able to fully appreciate their character's outfits while immersively exploring every corner of Night City.
This mod doesn't simply pull the camera back; it features a dedicated set of independent third-person animation assets. The first-person and third-person animations are completely separate, so switching back to the original perspective won't disrupt the game's existing animations. Use third-person view while exploring Night City on foot. When entering combat, drawing weapons, driving vehicles, during cutscenes, or interacting with terminals, the game will automatically switch back to the native first-person view to preserve the original combat presentation and immersion. Players can also manually disable the auto-switch feature to force third-person combat.
It supports free camera rotation, wall collision avoidance, and stepless adjustment of camera distance. You can save up to five custom camera presets, and the game will remember your view settings after restarting. Female V's idle, walking, running, jumping, climbing, sliding, swimming, and pickup animations have all been remade from scratch. Male V currently only has basic animation fixes, with the author planning to focus on optimizing the male protagonist in future versions. For now, it is recommended to play as Female V with this mod.
