Recently, the official team behind "Final Fantasy: Resonance" released a new Q&A session, revealing key details such as game length, versions, and business model. "Final Fantasy: Resonance" adapts the first season's story from the discontinued mobile game "Final Fantasy Brave Exvius," but it is far from a simple port. The dialogue and combat systems have been completely restructured for consoles, allowing newcomers who have never played the original to enjoy it without barriers. The main story features full voice acting throughout. The business model is purely buy-to-play, with no gacha mechanics, microtransactions, or other paid content; purchasing the base game unlocks all content.

The developers stated that focusing solely on the main story will take 30-40 hours to complete. Including side quests, collectibles, and other challenges will extend playtime to 60-80 hours. The game features three difficulty levels—Casual, Normal, and Expert—which players can switch between at any time to suit their skill level.

The core "Phantom Soldier System" brings together heroes from across the Final Fantasy series, featuring a total of 26 Phantom Soldiers whose powerful skills are unlocked by strengthening bonds. Summoned beasts Ifrit, Shiva, Odin, and Titan make their return; once summoned, they can participate in battle for three consecutive turns to unleash special attacks. Combat includes breaking enemy weaknesses and executing unified resonance ultimate moves. The map features various mini-games such as an arena, Moogle Hide-and-Seek, and jump rope. Fast travel unlocks early in the game, and players can collect 12 legendary ultimate weapons.

In a recent interview with foreign media, game director Kaito Furuya stated that player feedback on the demo has been positive, which delighted the team. He also shared his views on turn-based RPGs, noting a global resurgence trend for this genre in recent years, with "Final Fantasy: Resonance" being part of this wave. The team aims to capture the charm of classics while innovating on traditional gameplay to create a title that offers a fresh experience.
