Persona Producer Says Persona 1 and 2 Could Be Remade or Remastered in the Future

Persona series producer Kazuhisa Wada has once again discussed the return of earlier titles. He stated that remasters or remakes of the original Persona and Persona 2 may be released in the future, but no projects have been officially confirmed yet.

Wada brought up the two games voluntarily while discussing the re-release of older titles. He believes that remasters or remakes serve as a form of "cultural preservation," and creators have a responsibility to ensure that past works are not forgotten and remain accessible in the present day.

Based on this perspective, Wada mentioned that the original Persona and Persona 2 are titles the team "might work on in the future." This statement expresses an intention to bring back these older games, but it is not an official announcement of specific development plans.

This is not the first time Wada has discussed this possibility. Just a month ago, he stated that it was something the team "absolutely should do" and emphasized the need to put it into practice.

As of now, Atlus has not officially announced any remaster or remake projects for the original Persona or Persona 2, and Wada has not disclosed any details regarding development progress, platforms, or release dates.
