Unbelievable! Geralt Can't Romance Dandelion's Grandmother in The Witcher 3: Old Tunes

In the new Witcher 3 DLC, "Old Songs," Geralt will travel to De Laytenhoff Manor to search for traces of the missing Dandelion. There, the witcher will meet two key female relatives of the bard: his cousin Lila, a bold young woman eager for adventure, and his grandmother, a strict and cold-headed family matriarch.

As shown during the Gamescom presentation, Lila may become a romance option (developers hinted at "tension" between her and Geralt), but it was officially confirmed that there is definitely no chance of romance with Dandelion's grandmother.

In an interview with PCGamesN, Creative Director Karolina Kujawa-Rokosz addressed the question of whether players could pursue a romance with the elderly matriarch. Her response was firm: "Well, she's around Geralt's age, but oh, this grandmother would be a formidable opponent—best not to mess with her! She has to be the head of the household; she's very strict and quite serious."

Therefore, fans hoping to fall in love with the grandmother will have to accept reality: she won't succumb to the White Wolf's charm. However, players can at least take comfort in Lila, as the demo even showcased a scene where Geralt embraces her after a tough battle.
