League of Legends to Test Full-Team Voice Chat and Introduce Voice Skins

Riot Games has confirmed that League of Legends will test full-team voice chat in patch 26.20. The feature will initially be available only on the North America and Oceania servers, and players must reach Honor Level 3 or higher to use it.

The existing voice chat feature in League of Legends is primarily designed for pre-made teams. The new feature will expand communication to the entire team, enabling direct voice communication with teammates who did not queue up together.

Riot Games stated that full-team voice chat will also improve noise cancellation, connection speed, and stability. The initial Honor Level requirement for the test is intended to strengthen management as usage expands and to encourage positive player behavior.

This update will also introduce "Voice Skins," allowing players to instantly adjust settings to change their voice and tone, similar to the voice modulation feature in ARC Raiders. Specific available effects will be revealed when the update launches.

Full-team voice chat will not be rolled out to other regions at the same time. Riot Games plans to decide on further expansion based on performance and player feedback during the testing phase in North America and Oceania.

The developer update also mentioned that Act II of Season 3 for League of Legends will focus on music-related content, with the first music-related announcement coming soon. Riot Games has not yet revealed specific details about this project.
