Tasha's design work started early, initially handled by another artist. Kono stated that while her story and overall direction were already set at the time, the team continued to tweak various aspects of her character, ultimately making her the most polished character during development.
Tasha previously made an appearance at the PlayStation State of Play event, quickly capturing the attention of both longtime series fans and newcomers. Her popularity even surprised the character designers.
Discussing the reasons behind Tasha's popularity, Kono believes that her personality, outfit, and unique way of wearing military attire happen to align with current trends, with her smile and sense of fashion being particularly standout features.
