Riot Games Music has updated its social media for the first time in over two and a half years, sharing visuals for four virtual bands: Pentakill, K/DA, HEARTSTEEL, and True Damage. While no follow-up arrangements have been officially announced, this post, combined with recent clues, has reignited speculation about K/DA's return to League of Legends.
K/DA consists of Akali, Ahri, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa. Their debut single, "POP/STARS," was released in 2018, and the group subsequently performed on the stage of that year's World Championship opening ceremony. In 2020, K/DA added Seraphine and released the EP "ALL OUT," but has not released any new group music since then.
This July, the leaker community League of Leaks claimed that K/DA would return in Act III of League of Legends in 2026. That same month, Meddler, the head of League of Legends, confirmed that the theme of Act III would not focus on the lore of Runeterra, but he did not directly confirm whether K/DA would appear in that act.
In September, a K/DA song titled "Watch Me" was registered with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. Meanwhile, new skins for Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa appeared on the Chinese test server for League of Legends: Wild Rift, with Seraphine notably absent from the list.
Riot Games Music showcased several of its virtual bands simultaneously, without detailing specific plans in the post. Currently, the return of K/DA remains at the stage of rumors and clues; Riot Games has not yet announced official release information for new songs or skins, nor has it confirmed any future activities for the group.
