Koei Tecmo has officially announced The Apothecary Diaries: False Imperial Brother. Developed by Gust, the game is scheduled to launch on PS5 in early 2027, though a specific release date has not yet been revealed.
This is the first console game in The Apothecary Diaries series, with original author Natsu Hyuuga personally handling the scenario script. Players control Maomao, who sports fake freckles on her face, as she investigates five unsolved mysteries circulating within the imperial court.
In addition to Maomao, familiar characters from the original work, such as Jinshi, will also appear. The core gameplay revolves around mixing medicines and investigating clues, requiring players to gradually unravel the mysteries using the information they gather.
