Doodle Hide-and-Seek Game "Meccha Chameleon" Now Available on Switch 2

Meccha Chameleon first launched on Steam a few months ago, surpassing 15 million copies sold within less than a month of release. The game adopted a relatively low price point, with the Steam version priced at £5.29 at launch. The specific price for the Nintendo Switch 2 version has not yet been announced.

The game centers around multiplayer competitive hide-and-seek, featuring painting and color-changing mechanics as its main highlights. Hiders can absorb colors and patterns from their surroundings, paint them onto their characters, and adjust their poses to mimic walls, furniture, or decorations, thereby blending into the scene.

The seeker must observe suspicious spots in the environment and find all opponents before the countdown ends. If all hiders are discovered, the seeking team wins; if even one person survives until time runs out, victory belongs to the hiders. The colors, patterns, and camouflage methods chosen by players directly influence each match.

Meccha Chameleon is positioned similarly to social cooperative games such as R.E.P.O., Lethal Company, and Among Us. Its simple and straightforward gameplay has also drawn attention from streamers and multiplayer gamers.

Previously, player-created maps were found to contain malware, but the issue has since been resolved. Meccha Chameleon is currently available on PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
