Sony's decision to cancel Hideo Kojima's new spy-action game, Physint, continues to generate widespread reactions. This time, even former PlayStation president Shuhei Yoshida has expressed his surprise.
Just hours after it was confirmed that Xbox would be handling the game's publishing, Yoshida posted a brief message on the social platform X, which roughly translates to: "Wow, I'm shocked..." Later, when directly asked about Physint, the industry veteran confirmed that this was indeed what he was referring to.
Yoshida's reaction is particularly notable given his career history. He joined the original PlayStation development team in 1993 and worked at Sony Interactive Entertainment for 31 years, holding several key positions, most notably as President of Worldwide Studios and later as Head of Independent Developer Relations. Yoshida left the company in January 2025.
