Konami has officially announced "Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX," a modern remake of the PSP title "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3." It is scheduled for release on February 16, 2027, on Steam, Switch, and Switch 2 platforms. The game is now available for pre-order on Steam, priced at 198 CNY in the China region, with Chinese language support.

Set at the Duel Academy from "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX," the story focuses on the protagonist's final year at the school. Players can choose partners from over 100 visually refreshed original characters, build bonds, experience two-player Tag Team Duels, participate in various school events, and ultimately face the graduation duel. The original PSP version was never released in the Americas; this remake marks the first time this content is available on Steam for the American market.
The remake features extensive modern upgrades:
1. Card Collection: Includes over 3,800 cards from the GX era. In addition to the original card pool, many popular cards have been added, allowing for free deck building and faithfully recreating mainstream GX deck archetypes like Elemental HEROES on Steam.
2. Online Multiplayer Battles: The original version only supported local multiplayer. This remake adds cross-platform online modes, including casual matchmaking and custom rooms. You can engage in 1v1 single duels or play the series' iconic two-player Tag Team Duels.
3. Expanded Content: Features new and remastered school mini-games, such as fishing and other extracurricular activities. A new **Gallery Mode** allows you to revisit story cutscenes and CGs from "Tag Force 1" and "Tag Force 2," completing the series' narrative.
4. Visuals and Controls: Fully upgraded visual presentations with remastered monster summoning animations. Supports controller play, featuring accessibility options such as adjustable difficulty and customizable volume. Also supports Steam Achievements and Family Sharing.
Pre-order bonuses include exclusive mobile & PC wallpapers and profile avatars. Purchasing the digital edition grants an electronic art book containing character profiles, expression illustrations, chibi models, game concept art, and more. AI tools were used to assist in translation, with all text manually reviewed and edited. Minimum hardware requirements are an i5-10400 + GTX1660Ti, with 32GB of storage space. Recommended specifications are an i7-8700 + RTX2070, requiring 64GB of available hard drive space.
