"Dark Machine The Game" Appears on Steam, Featuring Three Sizes of Mechs in Multiplayer Battles

On September 14, LIONA revealed the Steam store page for the mech action shooter Dark Machine The Game. Targeting PC platforms, the game will adopt a free-to-play model with in-game purchases and is planned for release in 2027.

The game will include both PvE modes and PvP modes supporting up to 7v7 battles. Players can pilot three types of mechs with different sizes and combat specialties, progressively "upgrading" from small units to larger ones during combat.

Small "Worker" units excel at precision shooting, medium "Rider Loaders" specialize in high-speed aerial combat, and large "Giant Loaders" enter the battlefield with powerful destructive moves. Players need to adapt their combat style by leveraging the unique characteristics of each unit type.

The story takes place in "The DARK," an alternate dimension formed by the materialization of human memories and the collective unconscious. Various factions clash over "Palma," a high-density energy source generated within this space, with players participating in the conflict as mercenaries.

This title is the game component of the cross-media project Dark Machine. A TV anime based on the game is scheduled to air on Fuji TV and other channels starting October 13, 2026.
