Over the past month, Insomniac's art direction, character design, and gameplay elements showcased in media and early reviews have sparked ongoing discussion. Liam McIntyre stars as the protagonist, Wolverine, with some players feeling his appearance doesn't closely resemble the classic mutant character, while others attribute the issue to the game's facial scanning and art style.

Liam McIntyre has been sharing his thoughts on playing Wolverine on social media. In response to comments about negative reviews, he casually remarked that he has read much worse things since starting his acting career. "I just hope everyone has fun. I'm incredibly proud of this game; it's a blast to play."

He also mentioned facing pressure earlier in his career when taking over the role of Spartacus from Andy Whitfield in the series "Spartacus." Whitfield portrayed Spartacus in the first season, "Blood and Sand," but was unable to continue due to illness and passed away in 2011. McIntyre experienced strong audience reactions when he assumed the role.

Prior to this response, Liam McIntyre had thanked Marvel Games and Insomniac Games for entrusting him with the role of Wolverine, calling it a rare opportunity. "Marvel's Wolverine" has received mixed reviews from the media; IGN gave it a 6/10, praising its fluid combat but noting that the content becomes repetitive before the end.

As currently scheduled, "Marvel's Wolverine" will officially launch for all players on the evening of September 15. With the full release, players will be able to experience McIntyre's complete portrayal of the character.
