Epic Games Japan has announced the keynote speakers and initial lineup for Unreal Fest Tokyo 2026. Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney will take the stage alongside Takayuki Kawasaki, Representative of Epic Games Japan, to introduce the Epic ecosystem, the company's future vision, and plans for advancing UE6.
The event is scheduled for November 3–4 at the West Building of TFT Ariake in Tokyo, Japan, featuring over 30 sessions—the largest number in the event's history. November 3 will host keynote speeches, specialized sessions, exhibitions, and the Unreal Hub. November 4 will continue with specialized sessions, exhibitions, and the Unreal Hub, concluding with the official networking event, the Unreal Fest Closing Party.
The first batch of gaming sessions includes Netmarble's "Magic Defense: STAR DIVE" and Perfect World's "Neverness to Everness." Non-gaming participants include Toyota, Nissan, and Hyundai. The event will also showcase UE5 applications in the TV drama "GIFT" and music program "CDTV," as well as production examples from "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: Witch of Kirk" and "Girls und Panzer der Film."
The Indie Game Booth, featuring independent games made with Unreal Engine, will also return. Four titles will be showcased: CAVYHOUSE's "Grave Alive," Maboroshi Artworks' "Shadows: Negative," Lightersgames' "Thank You, Light," and World of Warcraft's "Umbrella of Nowhere."
The Epic Ecosystem area will introduce technologies and services such as MetaHuman, Epic Online Services, and the Epic Games Store. The Fortnite Creative mode area for Unreal Editor will feature content created by the creative studio Alche.
Unreal Fest Tokyo 2026 is free to attend but operates on a first-come, first-served basis with limited capacity. The Unreal Fest Closing Party on November 4 requires a separate ticket priced at 7,700 JPY (including tax). Detailed schedules and session information are subject to future official announcements.
