SEGA has announced that Total War: SHOGUN 2 - Complete Edition will be released on October 13 on Steam. The Complete Edition includes all DLC, is priced at 198 yuan, and supports Chinese subtitles and voiceovers. It includes the "Rise of the Samurai" and "Fall of the Samurai" campaigns. This release will also feature updated visuals, full Japanese voiceovers and text, and add over 50 newly playable minor factions.
The game combines turn-based faction management with real-time combat. Players need to build territories and castles, raise armies, and compete with rival clans for control of Japan through alliances, sabotage, and other strategies, while commanding samurai armies in pitched battles, sieges, and ambushes on the battlefield.
The game also includes the "Avatar Conquest" mode. Players can create generals that grow over time, earning experience through online battles to unlock better armor, new unit types, and permanent troop upgrades.
The multiplayer component supports cooperative or competitive campaigns, allowing players to conquer Japan together or vie for supremacy against each other. Custom battles support up to 8 players joining a room for matches.
Owners of the original game can purchase it at a 75% discount. The original version will soon be delisted and will thereafter be included in the Complete Edition. Players who previously owned the base game will receive all original DLC content for free.
