Helldivers 2 will launch the premium Warbond "Steel Democracy" on September 22. This armor-themed content pack adds three firearms, two types of throwable equipment, two armor sets, and vehicle-specific paints.
The three firearms are the AR-11 "Arbiter" assault rifle, the GL-15 "Expeller" grenade launcher, and the P-34 "Blaster" pistol. The AR-11 fires caseless ammunition in continuous bursts and features an underbarrel shotgun; the GL-15 uses a pump-action mechanism, emphasizing area damage and requiring manual loading per shot; the P-34 fires explosive rounds with adhesive properties.
New throwable equipment includes the G-60 Anti-Armor Tracker and the G-8 Incendiary Bomb. The former is a grenade drone that locks onto nearby enemies and explodes on impact, proving especially effective against armored vehicles; the latter does not cause a massive explosion but instead spreads burning flames across the target area.
The two armor sets are the light BFM-16 "Tanker" and the heavy BFM-220 "Armored Vessel." The former draws inspiration from armored cavalry designs of the First Galactic War and dampens loud noises; the latter is crafted from leftover ship hull armor and equipped with a servo-assist system.
Both armor sets feature the "Blunt Force" passive ability, which reduces damage from impacts and collisions by 30% while increasing armor rating. The Warbond also includes two capes, with the "Colossus Cloak" hiding a Morse code message.
New enhancements include "Single-Use Anti-Armor Rations" and an integrated fire extinguisher. The former provides two free EAT calls per mission, while the latter speeds up extinguishing flames on your body. Additionally, this content pack offers three vehicle-specific paints: Lush Green Camouflage, Glacial Polymer, and Onyx Executive.
"Steel Democracy" also includes the "Helmet Durability Check" emote, two matching player cards, and the "Armor Enthusiast" title. Warbonds in Helldivers 2 do not expire once unlocked; their content remains permanently available for access at any time.
