Marvel's Wolverine features a game speed adjustment function, allowing players to set a secondary speed level and switch between normal speed and their custom speed using controller buttons, presenting combat in slow motion.
This setting is included in the game's accessibility menu, and speed switching can be bound to any controller button of the player's choice. Once enabled, it allows control over action pacing during combat without repeatedly entering the menu.
One player set the game speed to 30% and bound the toggle function to the left D-pad button. In the demonstration, the screen slows down during attacks before returning to normal speed, highlighting moments such as claw hits and blood splatter. The 30% setting was chosen by this player and is not a fixed slow-motion level preset by the game.
Developer Insomniac Games previously offered similar speed control in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Players could briefly reduce speed during actions like web-swinging to highlight character animations or specific visuals.
Marvel's Wolverine has officially launched. Insomniac Games stated that the team is listening to player feedback and will continue to adjust and refine the gaming experience after release.
