Falcom has announced a licensing agreement with NEOWIZ to launch a new project for PC and consoles centered around The Legend of Heroes III: Maiden with White Hair. Development is set to begin soon, though specific details about the project's format have yet to be revealed.
The Legend of Heroes III: Maiden with White Hair was released by Falcom in 1994 as the first entry in the "Gagharv Trilogy." The game follows the pilgrimage journey of the young boy Julio and the girl Chris, set in a world called "Tirasweel."
This title, together with the later-released The Legend of Heroes IV: A Tear of Vermillion and The Legend of Heroes V: Cagesong of the Ocean, forms the "Gagharv Trilogy." The series places emphasis on world-building and storytelling, and predates the "Trails" series.
The Legend of Heroes III: Maiden with White Hair was also recently released on Nintendo Switch via the "EGG Console" service in August 2026. This new project in collaboration with NEOWIZ targets PC and console platforms, with further details to be announced in due course.
