Pokémon Sleep and NOT A HOTEL have launched a collaboration event, introducing a Poké Ball-shaped hotel in Lake Tomakomai, Hokkaido, that guests can actually stay in. The hotel has a diameter of 3 meters, and winners can experience a free one-night stay.
This event commemorates the 30th anniversary of Pokémon and the 3rd anniversary of Pokémon Sleep. Using its architectural technology, NOT A HOTEL has transformed the interior of a Poké Ball into an overnight bedroom, aiming to fulfill players' wish to "enter a Poké Ball."
The hotel interior features a round bed, air conditioning, and lighting. A large curved acrylic window is installed on one side of the sphere, allowing guests to enjoy the surrounding scenery while lying in bed. The round mattress is a custom NELL product with 2,350 individual pocket springs inside; the adjacent bathing area uses tiles inspired by Snorlax's color scheme.
The room is also equipped with a system developed in-house by NOT A HOTEL's smart home team. Guests can select their favorite Pokémon via a tablet device, and after lights out, the room will display lighting effects corresponding to the chosen Pokémon.
Applications for the event are open from 10:00 on September 15, 2026, to September 30. Prize A is a two-day, one-night stay voucher for the Poké Ball-shaped hotel; the stay itself is free and includes dinner, breakfast, and specified drinks. All applicants will receive Prize B, a set of redemption codes for in-game items usable in Pokémon Sleep.
