It's worth noting that Diablo IV was announced at BlizzCon in November 2019, released on June 5, 2023, and launched on PC via Steam in October 2023.
Just as players suspected Blizzard had abandoned Diablo IV, the Chinese server launched another limited-time free giveaway event. Currently, all players can claim the base version of the game for free, with 29 days remaining until the event ends.
As early as April 28 this year, the Chinese server of Diablo IV started a free giveaway event for the base game, which ended at midnight on May 27. It lasted exactly one month. Subsequently, the official announcement stated that the event would be extended until midnight on August 4.
