Capcom unveiled a new trailer for Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen on September 16, showcasing the new region of Norcane, several powerful new enemies, and additional systems. The title is scheduled for release on October 9, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Switch 2.
New Trailer:
Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is a major expansion built upon Dragon's Dogma 2. Taking player feedback since launch into account, the development team focused on three core pillars: "easier to play," "unseen adventures," and "easier to obtain," while introducing a new story and fresh gameplay experiences.
The expansion extends the adventure to Norcane, a new region in the far north, while adding 12 dungeons to the existing world. Newly revealed content also includes "War Relics," EX Skills, and an equipment appearance customization system, along with adjustments to performance and usability for the current version.
Two different release formats will be used across platforms. The Nintendo Switch 2 version, launching first, will bundle the base game with new content into a combined edition; the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam versions will be released as downloadable content (DLC) expansions.
The game supports 14 languages, including Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and English. Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will also be featured at the Tokyo Game Show 2026, held from September 17 to 21.
