Fire Emblem: Threads of Fate features four protagonists, each with their own unique storyline. Completing one protagonist's adventure and seeing the ending credits is estimated to take about 50 hours. Experiencing all four storylines and completing the game's third part will require at least over 100 hours.
A single protagonist's playthrough is longer than Fire Emblem: Three Houses and roughly comparable to Fire Emblem Engage. However, actual completion time will also be affected by difficulty level and combat style.
At the start of a new game, Normal and Hard difficulties are available. Players can lower the difficulty during playthroughs but cannot raise it again. Hard mode increases and strengthens enemy forces, consumes "Divine Sand" when rewinding time, and requires more strategic thinking in battles.
The four protagonists have different stories, and each storyline covers different content. To see all four storylines, players must at least complete each protagonist's individual plot and progress to the game's third part.
The second part of the game does not change depending on the protagonist, and players can choose to skip it before entering the third part. Skipping this section won't cause you to miss any story content, but you'll gain less experience; if you complete every route fully to maximize experience, the total playtime could reach approximately 200 hours.
