According to PC Gamer, Marcin Blacha, the lead writer of The Witcher 3, stated that there was still significant room for improvement after The Witcher 3. This might also be why CDPR didn't mind adding more content to the game.
With the "Hearts of Stone" expansion about to launch, the development team didn't find it difficult to add content to the game, stating that releasing a new expansion was no big deal.
Marcin Blacha also admitted that he doesn't consider The Witcher 3 a flawless classic. Although millions of fans revere The Witcher 3, the writer believes some parts of the game could have been done better.
