Chasing Rats Games has announced that the Pikmin-like roguelike Cult of the Lamb will release version 1.0 on November 4, marking the end of its Steam Early Access period and launching simultaneously on PC and PS5. Versions for other platforms are planned for 2027.
Cult of the Lamb entered Early Access on Steam in July 2025. In an announcement released on September 16, the developers confirmed the full release date, stating that the game will transition from its current Early Access phase to a complete launch.
The game blends real-time strategy, exploration, and puzzle-solving mechanics. Players command a group of followers and cast mystical rituals by drawing blood sigils. The exploration areas feature an open design, allowing players to progress through a world on the brink of collapse.
As a roguelike, Cult of the Lamb features a progression system that spans multiple runs. After completing challenges, players can unlock new deities, abilities, cosmetics, and more; bosses encountered during runs can also directly destroy the cult you've built.
Visually, the game features a hand-drawn style dominated by black and white with selective splashes of color. The developers describe its gameplay as a blend of Pikmin-style unit management and the darkly whimsical atmosphere of Cult of the Lamb. Version 1.0 will launch first on PC and PS5 on November 4.
