Too Easy: Marvel's Wolverine Players Prove Motorcycle Section Can Be Completed Without Input

Marvel's Wolverine has recently sparked controversy over a motorcycle sequence. Footage recorded by multiple players during testing shows that the segment can progress and be completed successfully even if the controller is left completely untouched.

In the relevant footage, Wolverine rides a motorcycle forward; the vehicle stays on the road even after hitting guardrails, and colliding with other cars does not immediately deplete his health. The character also swings his claws to attack, and all these actions appear to occur without any player input.

Collisions are not entirely without consequence, as the protagonist loses a point of health each time he hits a vehicle, meaning death is theoretically still possible. However, his health typically recovers before being fully depleted, allowing players to complete the sequence without using the controller.

Some players have also directed their criticism toward the game's QTE sequences. These interactive segments sometimes complete themselves without any player input, making the motorcycle sequence a prime example of the controversy surrounding excessive hand-holding in Marvel's Wolverine.

Critics argue that this design offers too much protection and guidance, undermining the sense of agency and challenge. Although the motorcycle section is merely a transitional moment in the game, related test videos have triggered intense discussion on social media platforms.

Developer Insomniac has stated that it is listening to the criticism and actively addressing existing issues in the game. However, since some concerns involve pacing structure and interaction design, it remains unclear whether these elements can be adjusted or how they might be modified.
