Valheim 1.0 Developer Commands Guide Released! Detailed Instructions on How to Enable the Console

The Valheim 1.0 Developer Commands Guide has been compiled and published, covering how to enable the console on the PC Steam version, as well as key commands for categories such as character, survival, building, teleportation, weather, and world progress.

PC players need to right-click Valheim in their Steam library, go to the "General" tab under "Properties," and enter "-console" in the launch options. After launching the game and loading a world, press F5 to open the console, then type "devcommands" and press Enter to enable developer commands; entering the same command again will disable this feature.

Character and survival commands can be used to enable god mode or ghost mode, restore character status, clear food effects, and raise or reset specific skills. "resetcharacter" resets all character data and skills, so be mindful of its impact before using it.

Enter "debugmode" to enable Creative Mode. Once enabled, press Z to toggle free flight, B to enable building without materials or a workbench, and K to clear nearby enemies. "fly" and "nocost" can also toggle flight and free building respectively.

For item and creature management, "spawn" generates specified entities by name, quantity, and level, while "give" adds specified items to your inventory. "tame" instantly tames nearby tamable creatures, "killall" clears nearby creatures and enemies, and "removedrops" removes items dropped on the ground in the area.

Map and environment commands include displaying or re-hiding the full map, viewing coordinates, teleporting to specified coordinates, and adjusting time, wind direction, and weather. Players can also manually trigger, abort, or randomly start raid events, and use related commands to view or reset the current world's progress markers.

Other commands can simulate player count to adjust monster difficulty, enable free camera, force save the world, modify scene draw distance, or check server latency. The "resetworld" command restores the world to its initial state, which may affect existing structures; enabling developer commands will also disable Steam achievements, so proceed with caution.
