One week after War Dogs entered Early Access, its Steam concurrent player count has dropped by over 100,000 from its peak. Developer Bulkhead is soliciting feedback from players to understand which issues most urgently need adjustment in the mid-season update.
This 100-player battle game previously hit a peak of 428,666 concurrent players on Steam. Three days after the peak, its concurrent player count dropped to 292,471, but it remained close to the 300,000 mark.
Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer stated that War Dogs is entering its first normal decline phase post-launch. Some players have begun to identify balance issues, while others disagree with the game's current design decisions.
Brammer emphasized that while the studio remains responsible for determining the game's direction, players can also voice their opinions. He asked players about the biggest issues they are currently facing and what content should be modified in the mid-season update.
The development team has confirmed that Season 2 will bring a wealth of new content and changes. This call for feedback focuses mainly on the current version, allowing players to offer suggestions regarding balance and design proposals.
War Dogs is still in Early Access. In response to the changes in player numbers at launch, Bulkhead will continue with subsequent development and consider mid-season adjustments based on feedback received.
