"Kingdom of the Night" Console Version Launches November 5, Supports Local Co-op

DANGEN Entertainment and Black Seven Studios have announced that the 80s-style action RPG Kingdom of Darkness will launch on PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch on November 5.

Kingdom of Darkness was previously released on PC via Steam on December 2, 2025. The game features an isometric perspective and hand-drawn pixel art, blending 80s nostalgia, coming-of-age storytelling, and supernatural horror elements, along with open exploration and character progression systems.

The story takes place in the small town of Miami, Arizona. A cult has unleashed an ancient evil known as Baphomet, and high school student John must save his friends and prevent the entire town from falling into darkness during one demonic night.

Players can choose from five classes: Barbarian, Knight, Rogue, Necromancer, and Warlock, and customize their builds using skill trees, loot, and equipment. The town is free to explore, demon generals can be challenged in any order, and players can investigate the stories of local residents while delving into demon lairs.

In addition to single-player mode, the game supports two-player local co-op. Two players can explore the town together, battle enemies, and rescue John's friends during this crisis that unfolds over a single night.

Pre-orders are now open for the Xbox Series and Switch versions, with a 10% discount available before launch. The PS5 will also receive a "Midnight Edition," which includes the base game and the "Night of '97" avatar collection, featuring 25 PlayStation Network-exclusive avatars themed around the game.
