The psychological horror game "Lily's World XD" is now available on Steam. Players will investigate a laptop left behind by a missing girl, searching for clues through diaries, blogs, and chat logs to track down her whereabouts.
Developed by SonderingEmily and published by Kwalee, the game is set in 2004. After a young girl named Lily suddenly disappears, the player stumbles upon her computer, where they can read diaries and blogs, view chat logs with friends, and look at selfies, gradually learning about her life before she vanished.
During the investigation, players will discover messages sent to Lily, leading the story in a darker direction. Lily hid a secret on her computer, with clues scattered throughout the various content she left behind, while the investigator is already being watched by others.
Players must carefully browse Lily's blog, decode hidden messages, and contact her childhood friends to piece together the events. Besides Lily's own secrets, other forces are trying to stop the investigation, and the player's computer may also be hacked.
According to the developers, the game's story deals with friendship, body image anxiety, and the feelings of lonely online outcasts growing up. The game also features real photos of the developer and their friends from their youth. "Lily's World XD" is now available.
