Epic Mickey: Rebrushed Mobile is now available worldwide, downloadable via the Apple App Store and Google Play. This version is released for iOS and Android platforms at a price of 2000 yen.
This is an action-adventure game. Mickey Mouse accidentally stumbles into the "Wasteland," a realm inhabited by forgotten Disney characters. Players must use a magical paintbrush to restore the world or employ thinner to alter the environment. Characters such as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit appear in the single-player campaign, where player choices lead to multiple endings.
The mobile version includes the full single-player campaign and features touch controls specifically optimized for screens. Actions like painting, erasing, and platforming can be performed directly on the screen, while moves such as dashing, sprinting, and ground pounding have been adjusted for mobile devices.
In terms of visuals, the mobile version retains the graphical fidelity of the console remaster, presenting the reimagined Wasteland on smartphones and tablets. The game's original mechanics for exploration, environmental manipulation, and narrative choices are also preserved.
The title originated from the original Epic Mickey released for the Wii in 2011. The subsequent remastered version was launched on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The original game was directed by Warren Spector, known for his work on System Shock and Deus Ex.
