A Fallout 4 player accidentally attracted three Deathclaws, two of which were legendary variants. Facing continuous grabs and slams, he ultimately relied on his T-60 Power Armor to withstand the attacks and retreated into a river to eliminate the enemies one by one.
The player was already at level 135, with the game difficulty set to "Very Hard." He first shot at a regular Deathclaw, after which two legendary Deathclaws emerged from the bushes, including a Night Stalker hybrid variant capable of turning invisible.
These enhanced enemies are not part of the base game but come from the mod "27 Legendary Bosses & Respawnable Powerful Legendary Beasts." This mod adds 27 level 600 bosses to the Commonwealth and enhances Super Mutant Behemoths. The player stated that without Power Armor, most of these bosses could kill him in just two hits.
During the fight, the three Deathclaws took turns grabbing the player, repeatedly knocking him to the ground. Once the grab animation triggered, the player temporarily lost control, leaving little opportunity to counterattack between consecutive strikes. Although the Far Harbor weapon "The Harvester" can knock down enemies with its fast attack speed, it did not directly resolve the siege this time.
What truly helped the player escape was the nearby river. Deathclaws do not enter deep water, allowing the player to retreat into the river to shoot and occasionally dive underwater to avoid attacks, eventually eliminating all three enemies one by one. In discussions, other players suggested using the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System to slow time, or taking Jet and Ultra Jet to gain movement time, while others proposed using berserk attribute pistols to make powerful enemies attack each other.
The player had also installed the "Durable and Realistic Power Armor" mod. After the entire battle, the T-60 Power Armor remained undamaged, and the player inside survived thanks to the cover provided by the river.
