Rocket League Season 24 launches on September 23, adding Honor Duels, Black Market Item Exchange, and several limited-time events. This update will also adjust controls and match result presentations, and introduce new Rocket Pass content.
Honor Duels are a post-match 1v1 duel mechanic. After a regular match ends, players can challenge opponents to a one-on-one showdown in the same lobby, while other players can stay and spectate.
Season 24 will also introduce the Black Market Item Exchange feature. Players can trade in duplicate Black Market items for a new item they haven't collected yet or a painted version, providing a new way to handle duplicate cosmetics in their inventory.
For match presentations, the new MVP Podium will highlight the Match MVP during post-match celebrations, playing that player's goal explosion effect behind their team. The scoreboard will also receive customization options to display more detailed match performance. Controls will be adjusted, with keyboard and mouse players gaining free camera control and changes to key binding functionality.
The new season features three limited-time events, two of which will launch on September 23. The "Sing Along" event includes 14 challenges and a new "Rising Star" collection series; "Bullet Ball" is an arena survival mode centered around crash destruction, where players must use a homing ball to be the last one standing.
The Persona 5 collaboration event will arrive in Rocket League on September 25. Season 24 also includes the new "Rocket Rivals" event, community showcase content, creator drops, and a new Rocket Pass featuring more vehicles and cosmetics.
