The Tokyo Game Show (TGS) once again shattered the ceiling of player enthusiasm. Just 10 minutes after the exhibition opened, the queue for the GTA VI booth was urgently closed as it instantly reached maximum capacity. While popular titles usually take 30 to 45 minutes to fill up, GTA VI declared itself "full" in just 10 minutes, leaving a large crowd of attendees who couldn't make it in time to watch regretfully from the sidelines.
In addition to the game's immense popularity, there was another direct trigger behind this scramble: anyone who successfully made it into the booth could receive an official limited-edition GTA VI T-shirt for free.
Nowadays, a large number of these limited-edition T-shirts have quickly appeared on various second-hand flea market websites in Japan, listed at prices far higher than those of regular clothing. Clearly, many people engaged in the frantic "sprint" at the moment the venue opened were aiming for this lucrative scalping business.
