The domestic wuxia action game "Phantom Blade Zero" has received its first optimization patch since launch. The update is initially being rolled out in phases on WeGame, with Steam, PS5, and other platforms to follow. The patch includes significant adjustments to combat feel, controls, performance, and boss difficulty based on concentrated player feedback, along with numerous bug fixes.
New Features
Added two independent sliders to the audio settings: "Hit Sound Intensity" and "Hit Impact Sound Intensity," allowing players to customize combat impact sounds.
Interaction buttons are now customizable for both keyboard and controller, resolving conflicts between interaction and execution buttons.
Optimizations and Difficulty Adjustments
Enhanced weapon hit impact feel, adjusted sound effects and dialogue volume, and optimized frame rates in certain scenes. Updated weapon and skill descriptions as well as controller icons.
Reduced the frequency of grab attacks by the boss "Bride Ah Hua" only in Invader and Breaker difficulty modes; values for other difficulties remain unchanged.
Modified shader compilation logic: Ray tracing shaders are no longer compiled by default at game startup, significantly improving launch speed. Existing users who do not use ray tracing will experience a brief one-time compilation upon first launch. Enabling ray tracing requires a restart to compile shaders separately.
Fixed stuttering when playing with Bluetooth controllers.
NVIDIA Reflex now functions correctly when V-Sync is enabled.
Bug Fix List:Fixed issues including progression-blocking softlocks, character model clipping in scenes, abnormal cutscenes, and combat logic problems. Resolved an issue causing character hair rendering glitches on specific AMD driver versions.
The developers have stated they will continue to collect player feedback to iterate on the game. This update is being rolled out in phases via a gray release, so some players may not receive the update package immediately.
