This title is a narrative-driven open-world shooter scheduled to launch on PC and Xbox in spring 2030, and is currently in early development. The story takes place in the Koprulu Sector more than seventy years after StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void. Instead of commanding from above as in an RTS, players assume the role of an ordinary Terran Dominion marine, stepping foot on dangerous planets overrun by the Zerg to experience the brutal reality of frontline warfare.
The game focuses on a complete single-player narrative with a defined beginning and end, rather than being a seasonal live-service title; it is designed as a standalone boxed product. Players can customize their characters, with armor and equipment that can be maintained and gradually upgraded. The Zerg are the primary threat, while the Protoss faction will also make an appearance.
