DICE has confirmed that several issues persist following the recent update to Battlefield 6, involving weapon attachments, REDSEC UI prompts, armor hit indicators, and sniper rifle zeroing displays. Some issues are under investigation or being fixed, but an official timeline for a complete resolution has not yet been provided.
This major update introduced new cosmetics, in-game events, and various improvements, but also brought a number of issues affecting gameplay. The development team released a hotfix the following day to improve performance, though it did not resolve all anomalies caused by the update.
The official Battlefield channel announced known issues for Multiplayer and REDSEC on September 19. Proximity voice chat will remain disabled throughout the weekend as the team continues to investigate related faults. REDSEC matchmaking has stabilized since the release of version 1.4.3.1, and officials will continue to prioritize monitoring this issue.
Investigation confirmed that the missing weapon attachment issue only occurs in the Shooting Range and does not affect online multiplayer matches or REDSEC rounds. Out-of-bounds warnings appearing in certain map areas are not bugs, but intentional design features to prevent players from blocking or camping vehicle spawn points. The team is discussing ways to communicate this mechanic more clearly.
There are currently two UI issues in REDSEC. Weapon damage values exceeding 100 may not display correctly on the player's HUD, although the full damage is still calculated as intended in the background. Players wearing armor may also not see hit markers or damage direction indicators when shot. The team is preparing fixes for both issues.
In-game UI notification delays have been addressed via server-side adjustments, and notifications should now appear instantly. The cause of the missing zeroing indicator for sniper rifles has also been identified, but a fix will require a client update; no deployment date for the patch has been announced yet.
Additionally, players reported that Interdictor damage in "Gauntlet" may be higher than intended. The team is adjusting its damage to align with the values set in version 1.4.3.0. It is currently unclear when all the aforementioned issues will be fully resolved, or whether they will be addressed in a single update.
