Executive Producer Kim Namseok introduced during the playable demo session at Gamescom 2026 that Project ZETAis not a traditional MOBA in the strict sense. Players must engage multiple four-person squads on the map and complete objectives while vying for victory.

The development team hopes players can find enjoyment in instant combat and eliminations even if they don't secure victory. In the showcased footage, one squad had just taken down multiple opponents in succession before being ambushed by another squad. Defeated players can rejoin the fight, making large-scale, multi-squad simultaneous engagements a core design pillar of the game.

Kim Namseok noted that when large numbers of players converge in battle, sequences of 11 or even 12 consecutive kills have occurred; by comparison, traditional MOBAs typically cap continuous kill streaks at a "Penta Kill." He believes this type of combat showcases the potential for a new MOBA format.

"Project ZETAhas previously undergone multiple rounds of public testing, with Nirvanana continuously adjusting the game based on player feedback. The team has reworked all characters, revised terrain and maps, and redesigned the concepts and narratives for each area to help players more intuitively determine their location.

Kim Namseok also mentioned that when players achieve a ten-kill streak, the designs for combat, controls, heroes, systems, UI, and interaction finally come together in perfect harmony. Currently, Project ZETAglobal test sign-ups are now open on Steam.
