During Tokyo Game Show 2026, Tomoya Kosaka took the stage to demo Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side: 4th Heart, sharing his gameplay experiences centered around the character Reita Kazami. So Nonoi served as the on-site host and, after hearing the full story, stated that she would start experiencing the series from the fourth installment.
This event, titled "Tomoya Kosaka's Favorite Character Chat: TGS Special Edition," was held at the 4Gamer booth. Tomoya Kosaka and So Nonoi are both affiliated with the agency amuleto and have previously discussed their affection for Reita Kazami on multiple occasions. The event also showcased personal collections such as acrylic stands, folders, and plushies, while Kosaka clarified that he was not involved in the production of the series.
The live demo used Tomoya Kosaka's own Nintendo Switch 2 and a save file nearing graduation. Kosaka first coordinated an outfit for the date, then called Reita Kazami and headed to the bowling alley. Facing dialogue options during the date, this player familiar with the character's preferences ultimately received only a "Not bad" response.
After the demo, Tomoya Kosaka spoke about a promise made between the two characters in childhood. In the game, Reita Kazami moved to the UK with his family, living about 9,000 kilometers away from the protagonist, before returning to Japan nine years later just before enrolling at Hano Academy. Discussing their reunion, Kosaka summarized it as "He came back just to see me," stating that this motivated him to spend his three years of high school life with Reita Kazami.
The stage event also looked back on their dates, exams, and Valentine's Day experiences. The game allows players to draw text and patterns with chocolate pens; Tomoya Kosaka made decorated chocolates and matcha donuts, receiving positive feedback from Reita Kazami. When discussing the school trip night scenario, Kosaka shed tears, noting that such memories happen only once and cannot be relived by reloading a save file.
Finally, Tomoya Kosaka recommended playing without reloading saves, believing it creates greater tension and forms personal experiences that can't be explained away as mere chance. Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side is a female-oriented school romance simulation series that began in 2002. Players spend three years of high school at Hano Academy in Hano City, improving their abilities through studying, club activities, part-time jobs, and outings to build friendships and romantic relationships with characters. The series currently has four mainline titles.
