The RC car obstacle course game Obstacle Overdrive will be released on October 2, 2026. Players will drive mini remote-controlled cars, tackling obstacle courses made of toys within a bedroom setting.
Developed and published by Arcane Ermine, this title is set in a 1990s bedroom, recreating the childhood joy of driving toy cars around the room. The trailer showcases various obstacles: the car must drive over a toy keyboard, navigate around building blocks, and climb over piles of stuffed animals.
Although driving is the central theme, Obstacle Overdrive is not a racing game. Players don't need to compete for rankings against others; instead, they can take their time observing the track and figuring out how to navigate each obstacle. The game offers five vehicles with distinct handling characteristics, allowing players to try them all and choose the one best suited for the current track.
There are also collectible hats scattered throughout the tracks, which can be placed on your car. Some hats are hidden off the beaten path, requiring players to take detours to find them.
Obstacle Overdrive is now available for wishlist on Steam, with a demo version offered so players can experience the RC car obstacle course before the official release.
