At the 2026 PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct, the horror cleaning game Clean Until Dawn was unveiled for the first time. The game combines house cleaning with horror elements and features music by Akira Yamaoka, composer of the Silent Hill series. No release date has been announced yet.
The trailer opens looking like a typical cleaning game: players scrub items in a Japanese-style apartment and put them back in place. As you clean, small amounts of money appear above the items, making the whole process seem quite ordinary at first.
Then, the trailer's atmosphere shifts as Akira Yamaoka's music kicks in, revealing the game's horror side. However, even as strange changes occur around you, the cleaning isn't over—you still need to do your best to finish the job.
The screen fills with eerie eye imagery, and the scenes take on distorted spatial structures. With visual design inspired by the early 1990s, the once-ordinary living spaces gradually reveal their strangeness.
Developed by Mac n Cheese Games, the team also working on the survival horror game Void Martyr, themed around "nuns in space."
