"Sniper Dan" has launched, combining hidden-object gameplay with first-person shooting, allowing players to use a shotgun to help the community solve everyday problems. Developed by Denki, the game features Dan, a sharpshooter who plans to make a living with his precise aim, handling tasks ranging from clearing leaves to opening stuck suitcases.
Each mission scene resembles a three-dimensional, dynamic hidden-object picture book, filled with dozens of characters, animals, and items. Players must first observe the scene to identify those in need of help, then use their shooting skills to solve the problem. Some tasks can be completed directly by shooting, such as scattering piles of leaves in a park or shooting off locks on suitcases.
Planting tasks require completing several steps in sequence: first, shoot seeds into the ground, then shoot mounds of dirt to cover the seeds, and finally shoot through a watering can so the flowing water moistens the soil. The entire process revolves around the gun in hand.
The game doesn't require players to calculate bullet drop or wind direction. After solving a problem, a humorous animation usually plays, rewarding the player with a small amount of coins. These coins can be used to upgrade rifles or purchase decorations for the office; even selecting items at market stalls is done by Dan shooting at them.
"Sniper Dan" is currently available with a 20% launch discount, priced at $10.39 USD or £8.79 GBP after discount. The offer ends on October 1st.
