Rocket League is currently developed on Unreal Engine 3. Psyonix announced its transition to Unreal Engine 6 this past May and later confirmed that professional players are participating in tests for the new version.

The video revealed that professional players such as JSTN and GARRETTG have already joined the testing. The trailer explains that these players are helping the team rebuild the game from the ground up.

Psyonix launched Rocket League in 2015, a year after Unreal Engine 4 had been released. Epic Games subsequently launched Unreal Engine 5 in 2022, and this newly announced version will be built on Unreal Engine 6.

Over the coming months, the team will continue to invite professional players to participate in testing and help fine-tune the game.
