New Mod for Elden Ring: Nightreign Released! Porting Dark Souls 2's Frozen City Map

Mod author Doneda has released a new map mod for Elden Ring: Nightreign, transplanting Dark Souls II's Frozen Eleum Loyce and the Snowfield Outside the Walls into a standalone playable map. The project's trailer has also been published on YouTube.

Doneda has previously researched and restored cut content from Dark Souls II: using leftover assets from the game, he recovered a deleted sewer map for demonstration purposes. This new project allows players to explore the transplanted Snow City area in Elden Ring: Nightreign.

This map combines an open snowfield outside the city with walled urban areas, a spatial layout that fits well with Elden Ring: Nightreign's smaller open-world maps. In the trailer, the safe zone for the Second Night appears to shrink to the underground Chaos Arena originally used for the battle against the Scorched Duke, giving this boss arena a new purpose.

In addition to map ports, there are other player-made mods for Elden Ring: Nightreign. Yui has created a seamless co-op mod for the game, while TerraMag has developed a mod that adds weapons from Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree expansion and Dark Souls III.
