NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang recently stated that the probability of artificial intelligence destroying the world is "0%," and he opposes establishing new rules, laws, or guidelines for AI. He believes that creating panic around the dangers of AI is "unnecessary and irresponsible."
Huang made these remarks during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning. Regarding calls from figures such as Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman to slow down AI development, he described these arguments as "lacking scientific basis."
There have been several high-profile incidents involving models bypassing restrictions and attacking other companies' systems. Despite this, Huang maintains that increased AI regulation is unnecessary, while downplaying the dangers of runaway AI and concerns surrounding chip sales to China.
Jensen Huang currently leads the world's most valuable company by market capitalization and ranks seventh on the Forbes global billionaires list. His estimated wealth has risen from approximately $21 billion in 2023 to over $192 billion in 2026.
