"Three Kingdoms: Strategy for the World" will launch the W3 "Ascend to Power" season, titled "Restore Han and Suppress Rebels," on September 26. The first multi-region themed server, "Golden Expedition," will also go live on the same day, allowing Southeast Asian players to join the same battlefield. The total value of rewards for the themed server exceeds 1.2 million NTD.
"Restore Han and Suppress Rebels" is set against the backdrop of the coalition against Dong Zhuo. Players will be divided into two factions: the Northern Lords and the Southwest Lords. In the early stages of the season, both sides must jointly advance the campaign against Dong Zhuo; as the battle intensifies, the two factions will clash head-on, culminating in a final showdown in the capital region.
The new capital sandbox centers on the Luoyang Royal City, featuring special structures such as palaces, city gates, and watchtowers, each serving distinct strategic functions. The season will also introduce the "Burn the City" mechanic: once the capital palace enters a burning state, players must capture it within a time limit, or it will be reduced to ruins, affecting the final allocation of hegemony slots for the season.
The new gameplay feature "Tactic Interpretation" allows players to alter tactic effects through different choices. Six generals—Hao Zhao, Wang Shuang, Sun Jian, King Mulu, Lu Kang, and Zhuge Jin—will debut this season, expanding lineup strategies around mechanics such as defense, pursuit, damage reduction, vulnerability, and critical hit damage. New tactics like "Unshakable," "Strategic Foresight," and "Grace and Authority" will also be added.
With the launch of "Golden Expedition," players from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia can form alliances and compete for cities on the same sandbox map. In all related themed servers, the top three alliances in terms of speed to capture the State Altar will receive pre-tax cash rewards of 100,000, 50,000, and 30,000 NTD, respectively. Alliances that accumulate 10 million military merits before the S1 season settlement can also share a 50,000 NTD prize pool for their server.
The themed server will also randomly spawn "Easter Egg Zones" on the sandbox map. Players holding these zones at the end of the event may win golden fortune bracelets. Players can currently pre-create alliances to gather forces. Both the "Restore Han and Suppress Rebels" season and the "Golden Expedition" themed server are scheduled to officially launch on September 26.
