Early Build of 'The Sinking City' Leaked: Scrapped Bosses and Assets Repurposed for DLC

A closed development build of The Sinking City has recently leaked, with related videos and details appearing online. This build is dated January 19, 2019, suggesting it was created approximately six months before the game's official release.

The leaked footage shows that this internal build is marked "Frogwares property, not for public demonstration." The most significant discovery is a boss fight excluded from the original campaign, where players must face a giant monster known as "The Devourer."

The leaker stated that this battle and its related assets were not completely discarded. Instead, they were remade and ultimately used in a story-driven DLC centered around cultists and the Necronomicon.

In addition to the boss fight, this build includes an early weapon selection wheel, drafts for Robert Slogmorton's quests, unused dialogue, and other materials found within the project files. These elements reveal some of the adjustments made before the game's official launch.

The leaker claims that the complete files containing this 2019 work-in-progress build are scheduled for public release soon. The materials currently available already demonstrate how some content was cut from the original version and later reworked for the DLC.
