Preliminary data from the UK market indicates that Marvel's Wolverine achieved the third-highest physical launch performance for a PS5 game in the region in 2026. However, there is still a significant gap compared to some major PlayStation titles, and the current data does not include digital sales.
Game industry journalist and analyst Christopher Dring stated that the UK physical launch sales of Marvel's Wolverine ranked behind Resident Evil: Requiem and 007 First Light, but ahead of Assassin's Creed Black Flag: Memory Reset.
Compared to Marvel's Spider-Man 2, previously released by Insomniac Games, the UK physical launch sales of Marvel's Wolverine were approximately 60% lower. Its performance was also slightly below that of Ghost of Yotei.
Another comparison shows that the UK physical launch sales of Marvel's Wolverine were approximately three times those of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The above comparisons are limited to UK physical sales data and cannot be directly used to judge the sales performance of these titles in other markets.
The currently released data does not account for digital copies purchased through the PlayStation Store, so it is insufficient to reflect the complete launch sales of Marvel's Wolverine. Once digital sales data is included, its overall performance may differ from the current physical charts.
Marvel's Wolverine was released on September 15 as a PS5 exclusive title.
