Capcom has announced the tournament format for Street Fighter League ASIA 2027. The competition will take place in autumn 2027 with six teams participating. The company also confirmed plans to hold an official women's tournament, the "Queen's Cup (tentative name)," in 2027.
The six participating slots include five teams from the Asian region and one from the Japanese region. The eventual champion will advance to the Street Fighter League World Championship 2027. Each Asian region team consists of four players, at least three of whom must be from that region.
The Japanese region's participating team will be determined through qualifiers scheduled for July 2027. This event will use an open recruitment system, and teams must consist of four players from the Japanese region. Players participating in the qualifiers must compete with their original lineups for the Asian League. Additionally, players cannot simultaneously participate in Street Fighter League JAPAN.
To prepare for the "Queen's Cup (tentative name)," the monthly "CAPCOM eSports club Tournament" held at the Kichijoji Plaza Capcom store will add a women's division. Capcom will also collaborate with the women's open tournament "Jisutage Cup" and the invitational women's event "Valkyrie Cup" to expand opportunities for female players to participate in competitive events. Performance in these tournaments may also serve as a reference for selecting invitees for the "Queen's Cup."
Capcom also unveiled the key visual for CAPCOM CUP 13 for the first time, specially illustrated by the development team, featuring Jasmine, the new character added to Street Fighter 6 in August 2026. The event is scheduled for March 10–14, 2027, with tickets expected to go on sale from late October 2026.
Furthermore, the Street Fighter League JAPAN 2026 Grand Finals will be held on February 23, 2027, at Tokyo Big Sight. Details regarding ticket sales and other information will be announced at a later date.
